Old, failing concrete and a deteriorating epoxy floor system had exposed aggregate across critical production areas at an ingredients manufacturing facility in Ravenna, Nebraska. The compromised surface created slip-and-fall concerns, made sanitation more difficult, and put GMP and FDA expectations at risk. The facility needed a durable replacement built for harsh detergents and constant vehicular traffic.

Tufco installed 4,500 sq ft of Tufcrete reinforced with expanded metal — installed by our own crews with all work completed in 72 days. No drain work was required.

The Solution

Tufco’s own W-2 crews — no subcontractors, no “certified installers” — prepared the failing substrate, placed expanded-metal reinforcement across the installation area, and installed 4,500 sq ft of Tufcrete. The reinforced system was selected to deliver added strength across an active manufacturing floor exposed to repeated cleaning and traffic.

The result is an impervious, seamless floor that holds up to the harshest detergents and constant vehicular traffic — reinforced with expanded metal to support long-term performance. The finished surface improves footing, simplifies sanitation, and supports GMP and FDA compliance. All work was completed in 72 days, start to finish.
